Songs of Praise About 50 of us thoroughly enjoyed Pam’s first service as leader – a lovely celebration of our 8^th birthday. We started by singing ‘Happy Birthday’ to ourselves while the candles on the special cake Ann B had made were burning!! This set the mood for a joyful time of worship thinking about ‘Summertime and Celebration’. Pam reminisced about the ‘Summertimes’ of her childhood growing up in Snailwell – we loved her picture of the cottage she and her family lived in. We could all identify with some of her memories – especially the knitted swimming costume!! All enjoyed singing some favourite hymns of praise celebrating God’s creation. Pam also recounted how SoP started – eight years ago! Afterwards we tucked into birthday cake and tea and chatted… A Mc
