(10) 3.                    Ogee-headed recess which was once divided into two compartments and is a very rare examof a double heart monument.

                          It contains two pairs of hands, each clutching a heart, probably a husband and wife.

9. (10) A.            Purbeck marble altar tomb on the north side of the sanctuary has the indent of a former brass on its flat top.

                          It may also have been reconstructed here and used as an Easter Sepulchre.

                          who died August 28th 1774, Aged 59 years.

                          To me ‘twas giv’n to die: To thee ‘tis given to live:

*9. (10) D.          Here lies the body of William Meredith who departed this life

                          December ye 16th 1755, Aged 46 Years.

                          Here also lieth the body of Elizabeth the wife of William

                          Meredith of St Jame’s, Westminster who died 28th September, 1757,

                          aged 40 years.
